| Just don't see McCoy beating Oaks even though he is much improved from last year. Oaks has made great strides as well. | |

| i respect mccoy very much. he is a great wrestler. what ive learned is that it does not matter your record or your past losses. whoever steps on the match more focused and determined for 6 mins will win the match | |

| Oaks by four over McCoy. Taylor by one over Pierce. (If he makes it by Powers in the Semi's) McCall over Rankin by two. | |

| mccall is great no doubt, but i dont see rankin losing to him again. oaks and mccoy is one of those were gonna have to sit back and see what happens. like adam said, its just who steps on the mat. | |

| I would put money on McCall or Rankin taking any of the Skyline weights from 119-135. The only possible exception would be Oaks at 130. Oaks versus McCall or Rankin would be fun. I think McCall has taken Oaks in past matchups hasn't he? To bad one (rankin or mccall) will not be a region champ. But nice for the fans. Gotta give both props for not backing down. This rivalry reminds me of McCall-Rholetter so many times last year. |

| rankin showed out in amazing fashion today. also props to humphries from pendleton to rising to the challenge. and as for mccoy/oaks mccoy had a slip up early on and lost by 1 to the crescent kid. still would have been fun to watch | |

103 Sanford (Wal) dec Lewis (Abb) 112 Whitfield (Cre) dec Simmons (Abb) 119 Rankin (Wal) dec McCall (Cre) 125 Humphries (Pen) dec Bianco (Cre) 130 Oaks (Abb) TF (?) Sherbert (Cre) 135 Tillman (Abb) over Smith (Cre) 140 Cowan (Abb) MD Johnson (Em) 145 Tillman (Abb) over Lewis (Cre)? I think? 152 Steifle (Em) Dec Harper (Wal) 160 Newton (Em) TF Nathan (Wal) 171 Taylor (Lib) Dec Pierce (Cre) 189 Thinking it was Glace (Abb) over Mitchell (Lib) by pin 215 Stewart (Pen) pin Sanders (Abb) Hwt Hedden (Wal) pin Robinson (Pen) - great match tied in closing seconds of third.
Abbeville wins team points I think Walhalla was second? Zane Newton voted Skyline WOY Cody McCall (Cre), Eli Pierce (Cre), and Skylar Johnson (Em) voted as at-large All-region by coaches. Great job by all. |

| Couple of matches of note that I remember from memory that were interesting.....
103: Only three guys due to scratches. Region II has the definite advantage here with Champion and Gilliam. WEAK weight class in skyline.
112: Where was Gegenheimer? He didn't even wrestle from what I saw. Whitfield seemed relaxed and ready to wrestle.
119: Rankin and McCall was a great match as always. Felt the ref screwed McCall out of a reversal once but would not of changed the outcome in my own opinion. Rankin was ready for him.
125: Humphries has improved tremendously from last year. Bianco took him to the wire though, will have to keep working.
130: Oaks coasted.
135: Tillman doesn't seem to put people away earlier but man he doesn't surrender many points.
140: Cowan did not even appear to breathe hard or strain at any point.
145: Close match here. Big Tillman looks like he lacks the technical wrestling of the smaller one but is just as athletic. Great match.
152: Steifle's style matches up well against Harper.
160: Zane is on a mission.
171: That Crescent 71 is a Hoss....Every wrestler was an athlete at this weight.
189. Glace is good, but the Liberty 89 didn't seem to be too shabby.
215: Pendleton kid surrenders alot of points but gets it done
HVY: Pendleton heavy gave Hedden all he wanted. 11-11 in the third period when Pendleton kid got taken to his back. Great match between Heavyweights that doesn't happen very often. Loved it.
152: I felt like Patterson should of beaten Harper. Had the take down with Harper on his back and harper scissors the head to stop the match and give him one instead of two so the score was tied and sent to OT, but match could go either way every time.
160: Rosa winning big against Nathan from Wal at 60. I think 12-3 or 4 or something and then gets thrown in a headlock.
130: Sherbert from Crescent is down by four against Walhalla in the third and hits a nice cradle to come back for a one point victory, great match I think it was 15-14?
171: Taylor from Lib looked as if he is peaking at the right time...will see for sure soon.
189: Glace wrestles well against, in many cases, much larger opponents. Would like to see how he does at state if he makes it. | |

| I believe Tillman got teched at the woodruff tournament 17-1. 135 class from the skyline region may be little weak. | |

| by far best match of the tourney. only match to go in ot looks like a match for upperstate finals as well if both keep improving, thought lewis had it for a sec, but tillman pulled it out in the end. great match. surprised lewis didnt get all region honors though |

| Yep - Sanford won something like 10-5 or 12-5. Whitfield won something like 6-2 or 6-4 maybe? I may be wrong on that last score. |

| CU - McCall was not screwed out of a reversal. Glad you are not a ref The correct call was made on the mat. That was not a reversal when Rankin got high and McCall caught his head. Rankin rolled through it and came back on top immediately. Even if you called it a reversal Rankin immediately reversed back and rode him out. No change in score. Noone got screwed out of anything. |

| Skyline- That is not the moment I was speaking of. I was watching from the other side of the gym but I felt like McCall should of gotten one of the reversals when him and Rankin were grappling right on the edge. There was one where Rankin was on his butt and it looked as if McCall had two supporting points inside the line. It was a close call either way and I do not feel as if it would of changed the outcome. Rankin wrestled great. | |
