| 130- walling from Bamberg continues to dominate. 135- wilkins won looked pretty good but boykin went down early, he should've won it 140- hancock dominated all the way through looked great |

| Boykin got stuck in the first period against NORTH CHARLESTON so he should not have won it.
Surprised at Wilkin winning that weight though. I don't ever remember hearing about him winning a tournament before.

| And I bet if boykin would have seen the NC kid again it would've been a different match! He was just a strong kid with no technique what so ever! |

| So what does that say about Boykin's technique?
Do you mean to tell me that Boykin doesn't rely on strength and athleticism? I don't think anyone will buy that. Boykin seems like a nice guy, but don't sell the N. Chas kid short. Bottom line is he STUCK Boykin in the 1st period. |

We will see how it goes the next time around?

| I doubt it will be any different. The call was a judgement call but Long kept stalling anyway! |

| both were called for stalling, all hancock could do was push out of bounds. Make them wrestle on the mat and I think it will be different. | |

| Boykin had beat Wilkins like 2 or 3 times, 9-0 once and he pinned him so actually Boykin should have won lowerstate if he didnt get caught.. |

| There are no guarantees. I like Francis a lot. Great kid, but he has not won a title yet. So it is even harder to annoint him. Looking at lowerstate results and his bracket at state, he will have a tough time. He wrestles wide open these days. While it makes for entertaining matches, it also leaves him open to expose his back.
At state I believe his first match is against an athletic kid from Pendleton. His brother Joe was a "shoe in" to win state his junior year and then he ran into the Peterson King in the finals and was schooled in the art of the Peterson. Martin from Chesnee is also on the other side of the bracket. Didn't Martin abuse Francis last year at state?
I'm pulling for Boykin, but it is no shoe in. He really needs to tighten things up at state.

| The Martin/Bouie match did not last very long. Martin looked a little intemidated at the beginning but stuck Bouie in the first. I wouldn't over look either one and they seem to want a rematch in the finals. Both are very different styled wrestlers. I look for a rematch for the title. |

| Nothing against Long, but you guys oviously don't know Cody Hancock. I have coached him in freestyle and greco and I can attest that staying in the middle is exactly where he likes to be. If Long decides to wrestle in the middle and scrap, good luck. I have seen this kid wrestle three matches back to back to back in Florida after midnight and brawl nonstop in the middle. One of the kids was a Fl Champ. Another was a 2xplacer. Cody handled all. Make it a fight. That is his game. I predict if Long sacks up to the center, the match won't be as close.
No Offense towards Long whatsoever. I think he is a great young wrestler. I would love to have him wrestle in Pit Bull.

| The dustin Martin kid handled Hanahan's 2nd string 135...... Boykin pins that kid in the first everyday at practice. The Martin kid has talent but I don't think Boykin will have another day like last weekend. It may be close though. |
