im guessing it was unwinnable and cheraw was going to forfeit the last of the weight classes, so they just called it so the ref didnt have to stand there and raise hands.

Is Loris that good or was Cheraw overrated ??

I'm not a Cheraw expert, but from what I have seen of them in the recent past is hot and cold. They can come out like gangbusters or they can fade and gas after the first period.

Loris on the other hand definitely is always competitive. When it comes to a team event, they seem to unite and rise to the occasion. They will not back down when they come across adversity. Other teams do. The main thing is despite experience, they ALL believe they are #1 by association. Other teams can pretend and bowe up. Loris actually backs it up until proven wrong. They have blindly loyal and loud fans as well. Loris at home is a tough team for anyone.

Their kryptonite is Chesterfield.

No disrespect to Abbeville. I thought they were solid when we wrestled them. Teamwise, I think Loris would be the Transformers and Abbeville the Go-bots. Loris came across as more fundamentally sound throughout the line up to me.

Chesterfield beat loris by 6 pts. Loris was missing two of their top wrestlers at that tournament. If they were there the score would have been different. Loris by an edge. Maybe by one bout

I know that one match keeps you from being undefeated for the year, but we are 49-5 you dont hear us saying we wouldn't have lost 3 duals at clover if we were not missing 5 starters. you have to wrestle with what you have.

we wrestled the clover duals with what we had at the time(missing 5 starters)
we lost to Riverside(who made it to the semis in 3A)
we lost to South Pointe
we tied but lost on criteria to a good Dobbins-Bennett team from Tennessee

Loris has the same kids now with the exception at 135...they had not dropped James to 135. We were missing kids as well for the dual match and we had people shuffled around like crazy. Then we did not have the option to weigh some of our kids up and down like we have now. Likewise, they were in the same boat.

The best teams peak the right time...we are peaking as it seems Loris and Abbeville are peaking.

That's good for C'field and Loris maybe these teams can bring back at least 2 lowerstate crowns. i am quiet sure they will be cheering each other on. Inspite who can beat who.
