Rankings before the first practice of the season starts seem silly. The bulk of those weights are nowhere near accurate. Not even LSO has had a chance to scout people yet.

It's just based on last year's qualifiers and placers and any previous qualifiers and placers.

Just a starting point to get you salivating, Lex! Probably all these kids will bump up at least one if not two classes?

What ever came of the discussion about sharing certifications so there was no controversy like we had last year in the Loris/Hanahan saga.

Who knows. Terrible handling of a silly rules application by all parties. The high school league was arrogant and made their decision long before Hanahan presented any case.
Woodruff got screwed on that one.

It will be interesting to see where kids shake out this year with so many quality seniors graduating from last year in 1a/2a.

Loris didn't even beat Hanahan really. They waited until they lost then cried about a weight certification for a kid that didn't even qualify for state of all things. Sad. I was a Lion fan until all that. We used to go out and fight with no excuses. Would Outley or Willard have need excuses? Then there is that video clear as day of that eyegouge of that boy's eye. That should have been a disqualification in the very least. No dignity.
Then Woodruff had to wait until just before the state tournament on a random night to even wrestle us for the title. They didn't really even know who they would wrestle until the last minute. Not really able to prep. Then we can only Tie and yet again, we gets by on another technicality.
So no. Nothing to be proud of. Of everyone Woodruff got the shaft.
Everyone can pretend, but there was no honor in that.

the question is... are we going to post certifications so it is public knowledge to prevent any confusion from happening again; Not, who should have wrestled for 2A State.

I'm pretty sure you can go to the NWCA website and obtain a copy of other teams' certifications......might be wrong, but I was under the impression that you could.

Chesnee at #4....i didn't even know they had a team. That's garbage. Crescent should easily be in front of them. It will all come out in the wash.

Kofi,
You did beat Gore decisively but your post is exactly what weight cert. is supposed to prevent; wrestlers or coaches hurting themselves/team by mistreating their bodies. Sucking the weight you admit to is wrong and your overall performance suffered.

So you could cut to 127 to beat Gore(who HAD to cut to 121 to havea chance to win state), but you now are blaming the weight cut to 132 as to why you did not qualify for state??? Why don't you man up and say your a lazy dumbazz that could not manage his weight. It seems like you already had a built in excuse for losing. No shame in not qualifying for state at 130. The lowerstate had Cunningham, Geiges, Trexler, and someone else that qualified instead of you. You simply were not on their level. I saw some of your matches. Don't lie about your below average skills.
