Broome Boys Stepped up last night! 6 Champs. Woodruff 5, Palmetto 3, and a good first year program in Chesnee showed a lot of promise.

How close was the match between King and Phillips?
How good is the Palmetto 189? It is a relatively weak weight class that could be open for anyone.

It was a very close match 7-6 phillips going into the third if I remember correctly. They were tied up 10-10 late in the match when Phiilips got the takedown and 3 nearfall to win. Thier were some very good matches in this tournament including Gilliam-Champion at 103 (4-2), McConnell-Woodard at 171 9-8 and Grandy-Lambert @215 (10-.

The Phillips, King match went into OT with Phillips hitting the five point move to end it... Although, I think Phillips was obviously the better wrestler even though the score didnt show it so well.
