Heard that Loris heavyweight was hurt and struggled to finish the match and that one of the lower weights (119 or 125) got ejected. Might make Wed. match a little tougher for the Lions.

I have a question when you talk about ejected???? The NFHS Wrestling Rules, which govern all wrestling in South Carolin, and states....
Disqualification due to technical violation, illegal hold, stalling, unsportsmanlike conduct during a match or unnecessary roughness does not eliminate a contestant from further competition in tournaments. Disqualification for unsportsmanlike conduct not during the match eliminates a
contestant or coach for the remainder of the event. Disqualification for flagrant misconduct will disqualify any individual for the remainder of a multiple school event or tournament. They are removed for the duration of the event.

and this is, except as modified by SCHSL Regulations. What is the modified SCHSL rule and where can it be found? I think I have heard a two date suspension but I am not sure of the offense??? just flagarant misconduct? or DQ for unsportsmanlike during match or after match (read NFHS rules above cause the punishment is exclusive of when it happens)?

That was supposed to be Loris Hoax, but whatever.
I'm guessing the ejection deal is a hoax to throw Hanahan off. Everyone know Hanahan's coach gets panicky about lineups and will shift all over. A lot of times to his teams demise. This is probably an attempt by the Loris coach to get an edge. I don't think he will get the gift he got from Adkins last year again so he will likely need this or have a built in excuse for when they lose AGAIN to Hanahan.

We weren't invited last year. Nor were we invited to Fort D last night. We go everywhere to watch wrestling and see a lot of people lose, maybe they should start blaming us too.

No ejection- lose of a team point. Loris wrestler cost the team a point when he said something to Marion wrestler; wasnt Gore or any light weight; was someone around 160 or 171. Not sure what was said but the official thought it was pretty funny

HAHAAAAA!!!!!!! you think it's bamberg's fault you lost last year hanahan? you lost because your coach "didn't know the rules" *cough* and he took it upon himself to "do what he thought was right" *cough cough*. I'm tired of all these hanahan wrestler's complaining about what happened LAST YEAR. just shut your mouths, win lowerstate FAIRLY, and then TRY to win a state championship saturday.

Because there have been so many people in this thread complaining about last year. Heck, because so many people complained about it in general on this forum.

Lets not forget that these are high school kids. These kids love this sport and have devoted most of their teenage years to this sport.  Lets not punish them or make them into evil beings because of issues off the mat!! These kids just want to wrestle!!!  Let the best team win!!!

I think both teams (and the coaches associated with them) would like a mulligan on last year's match and guess what? Through the hard work of two very good wrestling teams, a bunch of effort on the part of 50 high school student-athletes, and the labors of two coaching staffs we can all put this behind us. Good luck to both teams though I have a soft spot for the boys from Loris; lets have a great match! My prediction: Loris 38 Hanahan 33.

I'm looking forward to the match tonight. The gym will be amped. That's for sure. It really looks like this one is going to come down to the little things:
-Did everyone make weight efficiently?
-Who best sticks to their strengths
-Whose 2nd tier guys will step up and get the unexpected win?
-Who will get bonus points?

I think it will be a great match tonight. I just think it's sad that this team has to resort to "hoaxing" to try and gain an upper hand. Just BE PREPARED to wrestle the person who steps on the line across from you!

As for the Hanahan's coach panicking and changing the line up? Have any of you seen Coach Adkins? I, for one, have NEVER seen him panic and I have been working with him off and on since the day he started coaching at Hanahan...Last year was an HONEST MISTAKE!!! I'm sure there are other coaches in the state that have made this same mistake, they just didn't have a Lower State Title on the line...
