Upperstate brackets are out

Any thoughts on the upperstate 2A brackets, can be viewed on scmat, should be some good matchups coming in the next few days.

Someone please explain how Liberty is seeding above Broome when head to head was supposed to be used in the seeding. Oh yeah, Broome beat Liberty 54-19. Just really need to know how that happened.

How is Pelion seeded below BYE in the lowerstate?

The seedings on the website are incorrect....says that on the front page of SCMAT

Chesnee is a 8th seed..thats ridiculous. Got liberty first round then woodruff. Chesnee has beat woodruff once and lost 34-31 match to them but they meet 2nd round. Gilbert? Central? Wahalla?....come on...what blind chimp did this?

Seeding is done with winning % 1st. Then head to head. Its all about your teams overall record.

i know who did the seeding and how.. the seeding is done by every one turns in there overall recoards with wins and loses but only the AA matches are looked at for seeding % has nothing to do with it its who in AA you beat or got beat by...
here are a few problems i have with the seeding.....

#1) central (a new program) gets a 5th seed?? over chesnee, broome, palmetto and others?
#2) palmetto vs broome (same region) in the first round??
#3) liberty seeded higher than broome even though broome beat them 53 to 19 (not a close match)
#4) chessnee vs woodruff 2nd round (same region)??

Don't sleep on Central. They split with Cheraw this year.

i have no problem with woodruff at #1..they deserve it but im predicting, "should be" upperstate semi finals match in second round of playoffs at woodruff high school. Should be an exciting match.

RedBird, With all due respect to Chesnee you sure are talking a big game to have never done anything in wrestling. I'm not doubting you guys have a good team this year. I know you do b/c I've seen you wrestle. I'm not saying Crescent is better than you. However, if crescent fell out with a better winning percentage than you and better head to head results then they definitely deserve to be seeded ahead of you...period. Same goes for Walhalla and any other teams ahead of you. Sure Central hasn't done anything, but neither has your team. Some of these teams have a long history of performing in the clutch come playoff time. Your team has yet to do squat. Good luck in your fantasy 2nd round semi-final match!

Looks like the tried to match up same region early. There are alot of them. That needs to change. You can always argue over seedings but they should not match up teams from the same region in the 1st round.

So i guess if u want to have a good seed..just schedule the worst teams in sc, that way ur percentage is higher. This is a joke. Im not a broome fan by a long shot but i have to say there seed is an imbarrasment to sc wrestling. They beat Liberty 54-19 but liberty has the better seed. lol. Oh well guess we wont see it come down to the best teams toward the end of the playoffs.

Redbird, thats a clearly false state pertaining to the best teams. If the team you pull for is the best, then they will win; BAR NONE! Seeds are only a reward to the teams that have excelled. The best team will always win. Im sure if Woodruff and Abbeville got the 15th and 16th seed. They would find there way to the Upperstate Championship; pending they are the best two teams. Your thinking a little to hard there slick!

No matter how the seedings are set up Chesnee will take it one match at a time just like everyone else. We don't fear any team. Good Luck to all of you.
